RU-PR is the leader of the work package dedicated to the preparation of polymer-supported heterogeneous photocatalysts. To this aim, a PhD student will be enrolled in the Materials Science PhD program of UniPr.Â
The research group is currently composed by 1 post-doc, 9 PhD students and 2 post-grad fellows.
Main expertise:
Design and synthesis of macrocyclic molecular receptors (e.g. cavitands), the control of their conformations and the study of their recognition properties both in solution and at solid/liquid and solid/gas interfaces
Preparation of functional polymeric materials based on non-covalent interactions (H-bonds, host-guest,..) and on covalent dynamic bonds (CANs, vitrimers,..)
Synthesis of metal-organic frameworks and insertion of macrocyclic receptors into hierarchically porous polymer matrices for gas adsorption/separation and water treatment
