RU-TO is the leader of the work package dedicated to the application of photoactive supports to the degradation of emerging contaminants from water matrices. To this aim, the expertise of both an associated professor with a thirty-years expertise in environmental topics and of an assistant professor will be exploited.Â
The research group is actually composed by 1 associated professor, 1 assistant professor, 2 PhD students, 2 research fellows.
Main expertise:
synthesis and application of ceramic components with hierarchical porosity in selected environmental topics (photodegradation and/or pollutant removal from aqueous matrices);
development of analytical methods for the determination of emerging contaminants in environmental and food matrices, in particular by means of liquid and gas chromatographic techniques;
data collecting and processing by experimental design and chemometric approaches;
